Simple Thoughts on Modesty {30 Day Challenge}

{Ask Jesus}
It's a good habit to take a look in the mirror before walking out the door to simply ask, "is Jesus okay with this?" (this...meaning clothes, hair, makeup, everything!) It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks...it matters most what God thinks! If you say you are a child of the King, be sure that the reflection you see in the mirror is something His child would look like.

{Respect Yourself}
You are beautiful, inside and out. You're a precious treasure and belong to the King himself! Respect who you are underneath your skin, and let that self-respect be reflected by what you wear.

{Start With Your Heart}
If your heart isn't modest, your outside will never be modest. You'll only be covered. Modesty is something so much more than what you wear, it's an attitude that conveys humility. Start working on your heart, and naturally your outside will follow.

{Embrace Femininity}
We were formed by the hands of God, being a women is nothing to be ashamed of! We are called to be feminine, and it is something that should be celebrated and desired. Dress in a way that makes you feel beautiful and ladylike!

What would you add to the list?

XO,
Marie

  1. Really good thoughts! I especially appreciate your point on the heart of modesty, and how you said, "You'll only be covered" if your heart isn't right. Another thing that has helped is, if in doubt about a particular outfit, ask a wise person in your life--for me that would be one of my parents or a sister.
